What is Drywall?
Drywall, or gypsum board, is a building material made from a gypsum core between two layers of paper, commonly used for walls and ceilings. It offers a smooth, durable surface that’s easy to install and ready for paint or wallpaper. Drywall is fire-resistant and simplifies construction by replacing traditional lath and plaster. Its panels are easily cut to size and attached to framing, creating a seamless finish. This efficiency makes drywall a standard in residential and commercial construction.

Types of drywall:

Regular drywall:

This is the most common type of drywall. It is made of gypsum plaster and paper and is available in a variety of thicknesses.

Fire-resistant drywall:

This type of drywall is made with a fire-resistant gypsum plaster and is used in areas where fire-safety is a concern.

Moisture-resistant drywall

This type of drywall is made with a moisture-resistant gypsum plaster and is used in areas where there is a risk of moisture damage.

What is Taping?
Taping is the process of covering drywall seams and imperfections using joint compound, ensuring a smooth, flawless surface. It involves applying tape over the joints where drywall panels meet, followed by layers of compound to hide the tape and fill any gaps or holes. This process creates a seamless finish, preparing the walls for final touches such as painting or wallpapering, and enhancing the overall appearance of the interior.

What is Insulation?
Insulation is a material used in buildings to regulate temperature by reducing heat transfer. It helps keep homes warmer in winter and cooler in summer, improving energy efficiency and comfort. Common types include fiberglass, foam, and cellulose, all designed to create a barrier against heat loss or gain.

Types Of Insulation:

  • Spray Foam Insulation
  • Batt Insulation
  • Blown Insulation
  • Exterior Rigid Foam
  • Interior Rigid Foam
  • Acoustic
